Shirasagi Mokkou, a small Japanese firm, is renowned for its artisanal wooden objects. This family-run company has partnered with Tokyovision’s new brand, Artisanal, to create a unique wooden to-go coffee cup. Made from Zelkova wood, these cups are turned on a lathe and feature a precisely fitted wooden lid, overcoming wood's natural expansion with heat. After a year of testing, Shirasagi's expertise has produced a functional and beautiful cup, complete with a silicon ring for a perfect seal. Successfully Kickstarted, these cups have garnered attention for their meticulous craftsmanship, priced at ¥9,600 (USD $62) and shipping next March.
