Midtown Coffee House Reopens After Unexpected Leak

Two weeks following an unexpected closure due to a bathroom leak, Midtown Coffee House in Columbus, GA, has reopened its doors. The leak, which occurred over the weekend of April 13, resulted in nearly a quarter inch of water covering the floors, necessitating the replacement of all wooden floorboards. Owners Mike and Angie Maldonado were concerned primarily about the financial impact on their employees during the downtime. They managed to partially reopen for online orders while awaiting new flooring, but the full closure significantly affected their revenue. The Maldonados are now encouraging customers to support by leaving extra tips to help the staff recover financially. Despite these challenges, the coffee house is back to operating at full capacity, maintaining its pre-closure business hours and offerings.
