Jason Kelloway, a Marine Corps veteran and owner of Social Grounds Coffee Company in Jacksonville, has turned his personal struggles into a mission to aid others. After experiencing homelessness and battling PTSD, drug, and alcohol abuse, Kelloway felt inspired to start a business that could make a difference. In 2015, he founded Social Grounds Coffee Company, specifically to employ and support homeless veterans. Through his coffee shop, he offers jobs, mentorship, and a chance for veterans to reintegrate into civilian life successfully. To date, Kelloway has helped eight veterans stabilize their lives, providing them not just with employment but also a renewed sense of purpose and direction.
