When White Rock Coffee started roasting ethically sourced, specialty-grade coffee in 2005, they introduced a novel concept to North Dallas: a coffee shop that not only served cappuccinos, lattes, and iced coffees but also educated customers about coffee. At that time, the specialty coffee scene in the US was nascent, but the Bakers were ahead of the curve, tapping into a burgeoning market that saw significant growth in the early 2010s. With their unique offering, White Rock Coffee quickly gained a loyal following, leading to an expansion that now includes seven cafés, a dedicated roastery, an in-house bakery, and a Specialty Coffee Association Premier Training Campus lab. A key part of their growth was the adoption of Unic espresso machines, introduced to them by Mario Flores of JavaTec LLC. These machines, known for their reliability and advanced features like pulse profiling and superior steaming capabilities, have been instrumental in maintaining the high quality and consistency of White Rock Coffee's offerings.
