Westrock Coffee Unveils North America's Largest Coffee Manufacturing Plant

Westrock Coffee has inaugurated its sprawling 570,000-square-foot, $315 million manufacturing facility in Conway, Arkansas, marking a significant milestone in the coffee industry. The state-of-the-art plant, located on a 45-acre campus, is now the largest “roast to ready-to-drink” coffee manufacturing facility in North America. Equipped with cutting-edge automation technology and robotics, the plant manages the entire coffee production process, from green coffee beans to packaged products. The facility is designed to produce various coffee formats, including cans, bottles, bags-in-boxes, pumps, totes, and drums. Currently operating at 75% capacity, the plant employs 170 people but has the infrastructure to expand to a workforce of up to 900. Additionally, a newly completed 530,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center nearby will streamline logistics and reduce transportation times. Westrock CEO Scott Ford highlighted the facility’s role in advancing sustainability and responsible sourcing. The opening event, attended by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, underscored the Ford family's long-standing commitment to economic development in Arkansas. The facility opened ahead of schedule and under budget, further exemplifying Westrock's operational efficiency.
