Urgent Recall - Snapchill Canned Coffee Products Could Pose Botulism Risk

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of all canned coffee products manufactured by Snapchill LLC that are still within their expiration dates. The recall is due to concerns that the company's manufacturing process may not adequately prevent the growth and production of botulism, a potentially deadly toxin. Although no illnesses have been reported so far, Snapchill was informed by the FDA that their canning process was not filed with the agency, as required by regulation. Botulism symptoms include generalized weakness, dizziness, double-vision, trouble speaking or swallowing, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, bloating, and constipation. If you experience any of these symptoms after consuming the affected products, seek medical attention immediately. The recall affects a wide variety of coffee brands distributed nationwide, including Cape Cod Coffee, Coffee Hound, Knowledge Perk, and Vivid. Consumers are advised to check for products labeled "Produced and distributed by Snapchill LCC" and either dispose of them or return them for a full refund. For refunds, consumers can email photos of the product and proof of purchase to compliance@Snapchill.com, or call Snapchill at (920) 632-6018 during business hours.
