Trail Youth Coffee Home, a vital community hub in Snoqualmie Valley, is facing a severe financial shortfall due to delayed grant funding and unpaid services totaling $40,000. This unprecedented situation has put the nonprofit at risk, threatening its essential services, including daily youth hangouts, job training, and free counseling. Despite the economic challenges, Trail Youth continues to make a significant impact by fostering long-term relationships with the youth they serve. To sustain their operations, the organization has secured new grants, including a three-year grant from the Department of Justice-OVW and $125,000 from the Washington State Department of Commerce starting in July 2024. However, they urgently need to raise $5,000 in the coming days to bridge the financial gap. The community can support by donating, volunteering, buying their coffee, and participating in events like the "Stand Up for Suicide Prevention" benefit concert. Director Tonya Guinn extends her gratitude to all supporters and emphasizes that with continued community help, Trail Youth will remain a lifeline for local youth.
