Starbucks Partners with Grubhub for Nationwide Coffee Delivery Expansion

Starbucks is teaming up with Grubhub to offer coffee delivery services starting this month in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Illinois, with plans to expand to all 50 U.S. states by August. This collaboration allows customers to order and customize Starbucks food and beverages through the Grubhub app or website, where they can also track their orders. With existing delivery options on DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates, Starbucks aims to meet the rising demand for convenient delivery services, as noted by a double-digit growth in their U.S. delivery business last quarter. To facilitate the process, Starbucks has introduced new packaging items like two-cup to-go trays and shopper bags. This move comes after a disappointing last quarter for Starbucks, which saw a 2% revenue drop. Grubhub users who subscribe to its membership program can enjoy zero delivery charges, reduced service fees, and special promotions. According to Liz Bosone of Grubhub, the partnership aims to fulfill customer desires while enhancing Grubhub's enterprise offerings and merchant supply.
