In a follow-up to our investigation on McDonald's pricing variations, we explored whether Starbucks coffee prices differ across various outlets in Singapore. We categorized the outlets into four tiers: heartland areas, private residential estates, town centers, and tourist spots. Visiting eight different locations, including Siglap, Westgate, HillV2, Thomson Plaza, Scape, Suntec City, Jewel Changi Airport, and One Fullerton, we found that Starbucks prices are remarkably consistent. The only exception was One Fullerton, where prices were marginally higher by $0.30 to $0.60 for some drinks. Notably, an initial discrepancy at Jewel Changi Airport turned out to be a typo, corrected after we reached out to Starbucks. Overall, this consistency in pricing is likely due to Starbucks' already high profit margins, making rent and overhead variations less impactful. This means customers can enjoy their favorite Starbucks beverages without worrying about paying more in different parts of the city. However, our findings are based on a limited sample size, so additional data from other outlets could provide further insights.
