Southern Salt & Coffee Co. has opened its doors in Fort Pierce, bringing a unique blend of a salt spa and coffee bar to the White City area. Owned by Laura Barnes, a Fort Pierce native, the establishment is located at 1313 W. Midway Road. Barnes, who has a background in family, child, and consumer sciences, previously operated Southern Salt Therapies in St. Lucie West. After relocating and renovating a former 1948 home, she reopened the business on June 3, 2024. The coffee bar sources beans from Rock Hill Coffee in South Carolina, which partners with family farms globally. Local suppliers include Sutton Milk, Treasure Coast Bagel Bakery, Bread for the Soul, and a local FFA student's raw honey.
