Small Bar, a temporary venture by Bandit Coffee Co. in St. Petersburg, offers a unique dining experience in a compact 300-square-foot space. The bar, which launched in mid-June, seats only 15 people and operates on weekends with staggered reservations. Conceived during a trip to Mexico City, Small Bar serves as a preview for Bandit's upcoming wine bar, Spitz, and helps fund its construction. Despite its size, Small Bar boasts an ambitious menu featuring dishes such as shrimp crudo and duck cracklins, alongside a curated list of natural, organic wines. The project is spearheaded by Bandit owners Joshua and Sarah Weaver, along with partners Seth Davis and chefs Ben Pomales and Adrianna Siller. While the exact duration of Small Bar's operation is uncertain, it will likely close when Spitz opens later this year. This pop-up illustrates the team's innovative spirit and commitment to quality, setting the stage for their future endeavors.
