Rinnova has introduced a portable coffee cart at Cedarville University, responding to the overwhelming demand for their coffee. Lines at Rinnova have been long, especially during busy hours. The new cart aims to make coffee more accessible for students. Starting November 5, it will operate in the BTS on Tuesdays and Thursdays after chapel until 4 p.m. Payments can be made with cash or flex dollars.
• The cart was inspired by Westin Park, the assistant director of Campus Experience, and was purchased from Vinyl Coffee.
• Modifications were made to the cart to meet campus needs, with student manager Ben Kinsinger assisting in the process.
• Baristas received training to adapt to the manual espresso machine used in the cart.
• The menu is similar to the main location, though some items are limited due to space constraints.
This initiative is important as it enhances student life by providing convenient access to quality coffee. It also fosters community engagement, as students can gather around the cart during busy times. Consistency in scheduling is key to building a loyal customer base, ensuring students know when and where to find their favorite drinks.
