Rice University's campus is now home to four coffee shops, and a comparison has been conducted based on price, wait time, flavor, and seating. The same iced vanilla latte with whole milk was ordered from each to maintain consistency. Brochstein Pavilion was praised for its excellent coffee and study atmosphere but was a bit pricey. Dandelion Cafe's offering was underwhelming despite a very short wait time. Audrey's stood out with great flavor, best seating, and moderate pricing, making it the all-around winner. Coffeehouse, although the most affordable, had no seating available and an okay flavor profile. Audrey's triumphs overall, with Coffeehouse being the best value and Brochstein winning in convenience.
