Revolutionizing Coffee - Paso Paso's Farmer-First Approach

Paso Paso – Farmer Owned Coffee is a new venture that is challenging the conventional value distribution in the coffee industry by ensuring coffee producers are not just suppliers but also shareholders and leaders within the company. Founded by Bram de Hoog and a group of coffee producers from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua, the company aims to share the added value from coffee roasting directly with the producers. This initiative seeks to remove barriers in the traditional coffee trade, promote data sharing, and empower producers in the European market. The model shares similarities with Pachamama Coffee in the US but differs in its shared ownership structure as opposed to full farmer ownership.
