Mooboo, a popular London-based bubble tea chain, is expanding into the specialty coffee market with the launch of Daku Coffee. Slated to open in March 2024, Daku Coffee will feature an innovative in-house roastery at its High Street Kensington location. The brand aims to emphasize the 'art and science of coffee roasting', offering a unique experience to UK consumers. Eric Khaw, the founder of Mooboo and the mind behind Daku Coffee, stresses that the new venture will focus exclusively on the craft of coffee, choosing not to sell any food items. Khaw's vision for Daku Coffee is to harness decentralized roasting technology, ensuring each cup of coffee is made from beans roasted on-site for a fresh and flavorful experience, mirroring Mooboo's successful expansion model.
