Nick and Nicole Novotny, founders of Printer’s Row Coffee, have opened a second location in Chicago after their original Lincoln Park roastery outgrew its 750-square-foot space. The new café at 1400 N. Kingsbury Street spans 3,000 square feet and retains the charm of its original cold storage building with timber ceilings and brick walls. The menu continues to focus on light to medium roasts that highlight the unique flavors of single-origin coffees, with in-house made syrups and macadamia milk as a standout non-dairy alternative. The café also features pastries from local providers like Downstate Donuts and Brite Donuts. The design maintains a minimalist aesthetic, with vintage furniture and plenty of natural light through east- and south-facing windows. The new location offers significantly more seating, including a 16-seat patio, and aims to foster community engagement. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the new Printer’s Row Coffee maintains the spirit of its original while providing room to grow.
