Paris Waiters Run the Stylish "Coffee Race"

The Course des Cafes, Paris's historic "coffee race," made a comeback after a hiatus since 2011, adding to the city's Olympic spirit. Around 200 waiters raced 2km through Le Marais while balancing a tray with a glass of water, coffee, and a croissant, all without spilling a drop. Dressed in traditional waiter attire, they showcased the skill and agility required in their everyday tasks. The race, supported by Eau de Paris as part of a campaign promoting tap water over bottled, concluded at Paris City Hall. Winners were rewarded with tickets to the Olympic opening ceremony, while other participants received restaurant gift cards.
