Next-Gen Coffee - Rarebird's Paraxanthine-Infused Brew Promises No Jitters

Rarebird, a startup founded in 2020, is introducing a new twist to the coffee market with its paraxanthine (Px)-infused brews. Paraxanthine, a metabolite of caffeine, offers the same energizing effects as caffeine but without the unwanted side effects like jitters, sleeplessness, and anxiety. According to Dr. Jeffrey Dietrich, founder of Rarebird and a bioengineer, Px also clears from the body faster, allowing consumers to enjoy coffee later in the day without disrupting their sleep. Currently, Rarebird sells a ground coffee product with 60mg of Px per serving directly to consumers, and they are exploring technology to infuse Px into whole bean coffee as well. The company holds a patent for the application of Px in coffee and aims to see its product in major coffee chains like Starbucks.
