The Wheaton Public Library is set to welcome a new vendor, The Bean Caffe, to operate its cafe beginning June 5. This change comes after the previous vendor had to vacate due to staffing issues and inability to meet required operating hours. The cafe, known for its bright setting with a wall of windows facing Adams Park, plans to offer an extended menu including coffee, specialty lattes, smoothies, and various sandwiches. The Bean Caffe was selected for their impressive business plan and knowledge of cafe operations, as expressed by Library Director Betsy Adamowski. The partnership will be under a new three-year service agreement with the city, ensuring a vibrant and welcoming space for library patrons.
