A new chapter begins at House of Vibes Cafe in Silverthorne, now owned by Anna Hernandez and Cristian Salas. The couple, both second-generation immigrants, took over the cafe on December 17, 2024, and opened its doors to customers on January 2, 2025. Their passion for coffee is deeply rooted in their Mexican heritage, and they aim to infuse the cafe with traditional Mexican flavors and culture.
• Hernandez and Salas plan to introduce Mexican-inspired drinks, including cafe de olla, a spiced coffee, and Mexican hot chocolate.
• They will also add homemade syrups and expand the drink menu to include mimosas and carajillo, a Spanish-style coffee cocktail.
• The cafe will maintain its original vibe while enhancing the experience with a photo wall for customers' dogs.
• Business hours will extend from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This transition is significant as it not only preserves a beloved local spot but also enriches the community's culinary landscape. By integrating their cultural background, Hernandez and Salas aim to create a unique atmosphere that celebrates both coffee and community. Their plans reflect a commitment to quality and innovation, promising an exciting future for House of Vibes.
