New Cracked Pot Coffee Shop to Support Foster Youth Opens Soon

A nonprofit coffee shop is expanding its mission to help young adults leaving the foster care system by opening a second location in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The Cracked Pot Coffee Shop will welcome customers on September 27, starting at 6:30 a.m. with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. This initiative not only serves quality coffee but also provides essential support and job training for youth transitioning to independence.

• The Cracked Pot connects young adults with a dedicated team, including a therapist, life coach, and mentor.

• The program focuses on five key areas: Mental Wellness, Housing, Financial Literacy, Transportation, and Job Skills.

• The existing location in Mechanicsburg will continue to operate with set hours throughout the week.

This new location is significant as it expands resources for vulnerable youth, offering them a chance to build a brighter future while fostering community engagement. Supporting such initiatives can lead to lasting positive change in the lives of young adults.
