New Coffee Shops Brew Competition in Cape Coral

Two new coffee shops, Foxtail Coffee Co. and Eagle Specialty Coffee, have opened in Cape Coral, Florida, bringing fresh flavors and unique experiences to the local coffee scene. Both shops are similar in size and offerings but differ in their approach and product focus. Foxtail Coffee, owned by Diana Willis, emphasizes a craft coffee experience and offers breakfast items alongside their beverages. Eagle Specialty Coffee, led by Larry Fisher, prides itself on fresh-made food and customizable drinks. Both shops aim to create a friendly competition that enhances the local coffee culture.

• Foxtail Coffee Co. opened its Cape Coral location on December 18 and plans a grand opening on February 8. It offers fresh-roasted coffee and breakfast items, employing 15 staff members.

• Eagle Specialty Coffee, located just down the road, focuses on high-quality coffee and freshly made sandwiches and salads. Fisher aims to expand the brand with a rewards program and a mobile app.

• Both shops are located about 1.5 miles apart and believe there is enough demand for both to thrive. They view the competition as a way to boost coffee culture in the area.

The arrival of these coffee shops highlights the growing interest in quality coffee and unique dining experiences in Cape Coral. As more coffee concepts emerge, they contribute to a vibrant community atmosphere, encouraging local engagement and supporting small businesses. This trend reflects a broader movement towards appreciating artisanal products and fostering local entrepreneurship.
