A new cafe, Corner Rock Cafe, is set to open soon at Winterfield Place shopping center, located at 3734 Winterfield Road. This exciting venture is led by experienced local entrepreneurs Chris Staples, Bob Graham, and Clay Gilbert. The cafe will combine a coffee shop and ice cream parlor, filling a gap in the Chesterfield-Powhatan area. Staples, who has a history with Winterfield Place, recognized the need for a cozy spot for coffee and ice cream, especially given the nearby neighborhoods.
• Corner Rock Cafe will serve Black Hand coffee and a menu featuring breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and grilled cheeses.
• Ice cream will be sourced from Ashby’s Sterling Ice Cream, a Midwest distributor.
• The cafe plans to offer alcoholic coffee drinks, including a special menu for espresso martinis.
• The team is also working on a new Toast location in the Scott’s Walk development, expected to open around Labor Day.
This new cafe is important as it adds a unique dining option to the area, catering to local residents and enhancing community life. With its focus on quality coffee and ice cream, Corner Rock Cafe aims to become a beloved gathering place for families and friends.
