Uncommon Coffee Roasters has launched Malu, a new brunch spot in Saugatuck, MI, located at the corner of Culver and Griffith and just a block away from Coghlin Park. Opened in May by owners Bruno Nobre and Mauricio DaSilva, who acquired Uncommon in 2021, Malu offers a menu of American brunch classics made with locally-sourced ingredients. Highlights include a breakfast burrito, a grain bowl, and eggs benedict, with detailed sourcing information for the ingredients, including regional produce and meats. Inspired by Nobre's mother, Malu aims to combine quality, creativity, and community engagement to become a favorite dining destination for both locals and tourists. Additionally, while waiting for a table, guests can enjoy specialty coffees from the adjacent Malu Cafe. The menu also features beverages such as Midwest Juicery juices, Brix soda, and mocktails, making it a versatile spot for a delightful and conscientious brunch experience.
