The 2024 World AeroPress Championship is set to take place in Lisbon, Portugal, this September, bringing together coffee aficionados from around the globe. This year's event promises to be bigger and better, with the introduction of two new features: the WAC Roaster Village, where attendees can sample specialty coffees from top European roasters, and the AeroPress Invitational, a competition that gives coffee brewing enthusiasts a chance to earn a spot on the world final judging panel. The main competition will feature 60 national winners battling it out in a three-person head-to-head-to-head format, with last year's winner, Tay Wipvasutt of Thailand, looking to defend his title. The event is a celebration of the humble AeroPress, a manual brewing device that has become a staple in the coffee community. With early bird tickets available for €15, this is an event not to be missed for coffee lovers.
