LG Electronics has unveiled its new “myCup” tumbler washer at Starbucks stores in Korea. The initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Starbucks Korea, aims to boost reusable cup usage. Leveraging LG’s Dios dishwasher tech, the washer offers quick and thorough cleaning modes. Customers simply place their tumbler, start the process via touchscreen or app, and get sparkling results in seconds. After successful tests in 2022, the washer will now be rolled out nationwide. LG also plans a subscription service for maintenance and carbon tracking. According to the company, this move is part of broader ESG goals to foster a culture of sustainability.
