Kendall Eslinger, an Ottawa native, is launching her own mobile coffee bar, Kendall's Coffee, on Monday, July 22. After gaining experience as a barista in Cincinnati, Eslinger transformed her passion for coffee into a business. Located at 229 Estates, 1002 First Ave., Kendall's Coffee will serve a variety of coffee drinks, including unique flavor creations using Starved Rock coffee beans. The coffee bar will operate from 6:30 a.m. to noon, Monday through Saturday, and plans to attend events throughout the Illinois Valley. Eslinger, with the help of her family, renovated a trailer to house her business. She aims to make mornings more enjoyable for her customers and hopes to eventually take her business on the road to new locations. The journey to opening Kendall's Coffee involved navigating food licenses and paperwork, but Eslinger is ready to serve the community and beyond, even participating in events like the Chris Kringle Market.
