Intelligentsia Coffee, the US-based specialty coffee roaster and café chain, is set to open its first international store in Seoul, South Korea, on February 23, 2024, expanding its partnership with its long-term distributor MH Partners. The company has been present in the South Korean market since 2015 through its packaged coffee and ready-to-drink products, and is now preparing to introduce its café experience to the region. The opening in the Seochon neighborhood will be the first of potential multiple outlets in South Korea. Intelligentsia aims to cater to the sophisticated coffee culture in the country, which ranks high in café density and has shown receptiveness to international coffee brands. The move aligns with Intelligentsia's commitment to providing a culinary coffee experience and excellent hospitality, building on the success of other international specialty coffee operators in the dynamic South Korean market.
