A new café called “1974” has opened its doors, created by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to promote anti-corruption messages in a fun and engaging way. The café is located at the ICAC's North Point headquarters and aims to attract visitors while educating them about integrity. The name “1974” marks the year ICAC was established, celebrating its history and the introduction of coffee culture to the organization.
• The café offers a selection of drinks, including three types of coffee named “Honest,” “Confidential,” and “Sincere,” priced at HK$22 each.
• It features snacks like oatmeal cookies and roselle tea, all made fresh.
• Visitors can see real case exhibits and tools from ICAC investigations, enhancing their understanding of its work.
• Iconic signage and photo booths are available for visitors to take memorable pictures.
This initiative represents a creative approach to anti-corruption education, making it more accessible and relatable to the public. By blending a popular social space with educational elements, ICAC hopes to foster a culture of integrity in Hong Kong.
