The study involved over 1,600 participants who emphasized the importance of taste, aroma, brand, and price in their coffee selection. However, a significant shift shows that 70% of these consumers also base their choices on packaging attributes. Younger consumers, aged 18-34, particularly value packaging design, which influences their buying decisions significantly. Additionally, convenience and ease of use are crucial, with 33% of consumers unlikely to repurchase if the packaging is not user-friendly. The survey also highlights a growing demand for sustainable packaging, with a notable preference for recyclability, especially in the UK, where 73% of respondents prioritize this feature.
