Located on Court Street off of Main in Visalia, a unique coffee shop is offering more than just a caffeine fix. Every purchase made here directly supports the Visalia Rescue Mission, an organization dedicated to addressing homelessness and addiction in the community. The coffee shop, which has quickly garnered a steady stream of customers since opening three weeks ago, sources its ingredients locally, including beans roasted by Component Coffee Roastery. The menu is inspired by the Central Valley, offering a local flavor in every sip. According to CEO Michael Simmon, the initiative serves a dual purpose: building community and funding the mission's services. The Visalia Rescue Mission provides emergency shelters for men, women, and children, and runs a year-long, free addiction recovery program. With every $20 spent at the coffee shop, four people are provided with meals for a night. Additionally, support can be extended through purchases at their thrift stores, Simply Chic Boutique and Rescued Treasures.
