Health Warning - Dangerous Products Found in Singapore Market

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has issued a warning about two products, Lung Tan Tsao and Candy B+ Coffee Extra Power, which may pose serious health risks. Both items contain potent medicinal ingredients that can lead to severe health complications. Although these products have not been found in Singapore, the HSA is prepared to act quickly if they appear online or in stores.

• Lung Tan Tsao was linked to a woman who experienced weight gain and facial swelling after use. It contains a steroid and an antihistamine, which can lead to serious side effects without medical supervision.

• Candy B+ Coffee Extra Power was discovered to contain over 50 times the normal dose of tadalafil, a medication for erectile dysfunction, increasing the risk of stroke and heart attack.

• Consumers are urged to consult a doctor if they have consumed either product and to be cautious of health products with exaggerated claims.

This situation highlights the importance of being vigilant about the safety of health products. Many consumers may not realize the potential dangers of unregulated supplements. Awareness can help prevent health issues and ensure safer choices in the market.
