Grind, a UK-based specialty coffee group, has reported impressive sales growth and secured significant funding for expansion. The company achieved a 38% increase in sales over the past year, reaching £29.7m ($36.7m) by April 2024. With this momentum, Grind raised £10m ($12.3m) to enhance its coffee shop, online, and wholesale businesses. The company operates 11 outlets and three coffee carts in London, with both high street and e-commerce channels contributing equally to revenue. Despite the growth, investments in marketing and expansion have led to increased losses, with pre-tax losses reaching £5.6m ($7m). Grind's online sales consistently exceed £1m monthly, and its products are available in 8,000 UK retailers. The company remains optimistic about future growth as more people return to city life, despite some recent closures in its locations.
