Coffeeness, a Germany-based coffee website, analyzed global Google search data to determine the most popular iced coffee drinks around the world. The frappe, a creamy, frothy iced coffee from France, emerged as the top favorite, being the most searched-for in 35 countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America. It's crafted with espresso, cold water, milk, sugar, and ice cubes, shaken or blended into a refreshing treat. The iced vanilla latte, loved in 14 countries including the US and UK, ranks second. This sweet concoction of milk, espresso, and vanilla syrup served over ice is a crowd-pleaser. The frappuccino, often mistaken for a frappe, is a sweeter, calorie-rich drink enjoyed in 12 countries such as Belgium and Egypt. Cold brew, preferred for its aromatic, low-acidity flavor achieved by steeping coffee grounds in cold water for 12-24 hours, ranks fourth. It is especially popular in Brazil and Turkey. Lastly, the Spanish latte, a mix of espresso, sweetened condensed milk, and regular milk, rounds out the top five. This creamy delight is favored in six countries including the UAE and Singapore. Coffeeness also highlighted lesser-known drinks like eiskaffee from Germany and mazagran from Algeria. As temperatures soar globally, these iced coffee trends offer refreshing ways to beat the heat.
