Firaol Ahmed, a junior at Saint Louis University, showcased a remarkable blend of athletic and entrepreneurial prowess. On April 12, at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Ahmed set a personal best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:18.61, ranking him within SLU's all-time top 5. Not resting on his laurels, he flew overnight to the Specialty Coffee Expo in Chicago to promote Moii Coffee, a venture he started in his dorm room. Moii Coffee, named after the Oromo word for "to conquer," connects Ahmed to his Ethiopian roots and the birthplace of coffee. Despite his youth, Ahmed's entrepreneurial zeal is deeply rooted, inspired by his family's history in the coffee trade. Between managing his studies in entrepreneurship and finance, Ahmed is expanding his business, importing coffee through family connections, and innovating with services like "Moii Prime" for local deliveries.
