KMBC 9 First News is treating you to a free cup of coffee this Friday as part of their "Coffee for a Cause" initiative in collaboration with The Roasterie Factory. This event aims to support the KVC Back-To-School Drive, which provides essential school items for foster kids in the metro area. The event will take place at The Roasterie Factory, located at 1204 West 27th Street (SW Boulevard), between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. While the coffee is free, donations are encouraged to help foster children prepare for the upcoming school year. A $9 donation can buy socks and underwear, while $50 allows a foster child to select their own back-to-school outfit. If you can't attend this Friday, KMBC 9 will also be hosting similar events at The Filling Station on July 19 and Black Dog Coffeehouse on July 26. Your participation and donations can make a significant difference in the lives of these children.
