Plans are underway for Foxtail Coffee Co. to open two new locations in West Michigan. This expansion follows their successful entry into the market earlier this year through a franchise agreement with Baton Collective. The new coffee shops will be located in Grand Rapids’ Eastown neighborhood and Byron Center, enhancing community gathering spaces.
• The Byron Center location is set to open in late November, featuring a 1,500-square-foot space with seating for 32. It will offer a variety of coffee drinks, breakfast and lunch options, baked goods, and gelato.
• The Eastown location will be in a historic building, previously a gas station, with plans for outdoor seating and lawn games. It is expected to open in March or April 2025.
• Baton Collective aims to create community hubs where people can gather and enjoy their time together.
This expansion matters because it fosters community engagement and supports local economies. Foxtail Coffee's focus on creating inviting spaces reflects a growing trend of coffee shops serving as social centers. As more locations open, they will likely continue to strengthen community ties in West Michigan.
