Foxtail Coffee Co. to Replace Summerlin Starbucks, Renovations Underway

The Starbucks at 1990 Village Center Circle in Summerlin, Las Vegas, closed in June 2023 after 25 years, causing considerable disappointment among locals who frequented the spot. However, hope was restored when Foxtail Coffee Co., a Florida-based chain, announced plans to open two locations in the Las Vegas Valley, one of which would replace the shuttered Starbucks. Since then, rumors have swirled on social media about the potential cancellation or delay of the new coffee shop. Despite the lack of public updates from Foxtail, evidence suggests that the project is moving forward. Building permits issued since July 2023 indicate ongoing renovations, including the installation of new signage, a grease trap, lighting, and counter equipment. The most recent permit, issued in late June, covers updates to the bathroom, bar equipment, and utility lines. On-site observations confirm that renovations are actively progressing, signaling that the new coffee shop will soon open its doors.
