First Female First American Coffee Roaster

Andi AnquoeParnacher has achieved the remarkable distinction of being recognized by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) as the first female First American coffee roaster. This honor was bestowed upon her after she was selected for a coveted scholarship from Coffee Project New York, a prestigious institution known for its commitment to promoting women in the male-dominated coffee industry. Parnacher's journey to this achievement included attending SCA's intensive three-day roasting classes in New York. Not only did she gain invaluable skills, but she also formed lasting connections with fellow women roasters from around the world. Employed by Not Your Average Joe, an inclusive Oklahoma City-based nonprofit, Parnacher has risen through the ranks from barista to co-director of strategic partnerships. She has also played a pivotal role in creating exclusive coffee flavors for Bedré Fine Chocolate, operated by the Chickasaw Nation. Parnacher's story is a testament to breaking barriers and celebrating cultural heritage.
