Factory Coffee is set to open its fourth location at the Marriott Kalamazoo Conference Center. Co-owners Dan and Emmy Kastner are excited to create a cozy space that reflects the local community. This new cafe will replace a former Starbucks in the hotel lobby and is expected to open by the end of April. The cafe aims to cater not only to travelers but also to local residents and workers.
• The cafe will occupy 368 square feet and seat about 10 people, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Factory Coffee will serve a variety of drinks, including coffee, cocktails, and beer, along with a unique menu featuring salads, cold sandwiches, and innovative “bagel bombs.”
• This location continues the Kastners’ mission to build cafes that resonate with the neighborhoods they serve, enhancing the local coffee culture.
This expansion is important as it brings a local flavor to the hotel experience while providing a new gathering spot for the community. It showcases the growing trend of integrating local businesses into hospitality spaces, creating a sense of belonging for both travelers and locals alike.
