The upcoming 2025 US Coffee Championships will see significant changes aimed at making participation easier and more affordable. The Leadership Committee has decided to return to a Regional Qualifying Competition format, reducing the previous three-round structure to just two events: a regional and a national competition. This shift is designed to enhance accessibility for competitors.
• The Western Region will host events in Portland and Las Vegas.
• The Central Region includes Houston, Lincoln, and Kansas City.
• The Eastern Region features competitions in Westchester and Raleigh.
• Notably, there will be no Cup Tasters Qualifying Round this year, with open registration for Nationals instead.
These changes are important as they aim to lower costs and streamline the competition process. By focusing on fewer events, the Championships hope to attract more participants and create a more inclusive environment for coffee professionals. The first regional event is just around the corner, with registration opening soon.
