Elberta's New Coffee Haven - State Street Café Opens Its Doors

A new café, State Street Coffee and Ice Cream, has opened in Elberta, bringing a much-needed community spot for coffee lovers and ice cream fans. Owned by Candice Bass and the Harrison family, the café emerged from a desire to utilize extra space in their downtown building. They engaged the community to find out what was missing, and the response was clear: a cozy place to enjoy coffee and sweets. With guidance from Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea’s 7 Steps to Success program, they launched the café, offering a range of handcrafted drinks and ice cream options.

• The café features a diverse menu, including lattes, espressos, and 24 ice cream flavors.

• A portion of monthly ice cream sales will support the Benjamin Thomas Werner Foundation, focusing on drug abuse awareness.

• The café aims to be a community hub, with plans for events and gatherings.

• Bass encourages aspiring entrepreneurs to be patient and persistent in their journey.

This new establishment not only fills a gap in Elberta but also fosters community spirit and supports local causes. It highlights the importance of small businesses in creating social connections and addressing community needs.
