ofi has released its annual impact report for its coffee business, showcasing significant advancements in sustainability efforts. The report highlights two major initiatives: a social capital impact valuation in Honduras and a sustainable forest management partnership in Côte d’Ivoire. These efforts aim to enhance farmer livelihoods, empower communities, and promote climate action by 2030. The social capital project in Honduras demonstrated impressive results, with every dollar invested yielding eight dollars in social value. This project was recognized as a finalist at the Reuters Sustainability Awards. Additionally, ofi has increased its land dedicated to regenerative agriculture and improved traceability systems for coffee sourcing. The company attributes its success to strong partnerships and a commitment to supporting over 115,000 farmers in adapting to challenges. These initiatives are crucial for ensuring the sustainability of coffee production and protecting the environment while meeting growing consumer demands for traceable and ethical products.
