Creative Paths to Ranch Ownership - The Story of Summit Browning and S Bar B Coffee

Summit Browning, a 21-year-old FFA alumni from Paradise Valley, is turning his entrepreneurial spirit into a stepping stone towards his dream of owning a ranch. Despite not having a background in agriculture, his involvement in 4-H and FFA programs fueled his passion for ranching. To fund his dream, Browning ventured into various businesses before finding success in roasting and selling his own brand of coffee, S Bar B Coffee, now available in 63 stores across Montana. Initially experimenting with a home coffee roaster, he refined his product through feedback from schoolteachers and eventually upgraded his equipment to increase production efficiency. Browning sources his beans from a fair-trade, organic supplier in the Dominican Republic and donates a portion of his sales to support FFA and the Farm Bureau Organization. Through his coffee business, he aims to both achieve his goal of owning a ranch and advocate for the agriculture industry.
