Wawa is marking its 60th anniversary by offering free hot coffee of any size to all customers on April 16. The celebration extends to all Wawa stores nationwide. In addition to the free coffee, customers can enjoy a series of 60-cent deals on items like teas, juices, lemonade, and a special birthday cake donut. The stores will also honor a special customer with a "Day Brightener" award, complete with a sash and other tokens. The first Wawa store opened in 1964, and today, the company operates over 1,000 stores across six states and Washington, D.C. This anniversary event not only highlights Wawa’s longstanding community presence but also its expansion and enduring popularity of its signature branded coffee, introduced in the 1970s.
