Brewing Troubles - Nowhere Coffee Co. Shuts Amid Damage

A month after the prestigious visit from President Joe Biden, Nowhere Coffee Co.'s second location in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, has closed indefinitely due to significant water damage from roof leaks, which disrupted their operations by damaging critical equipment like espresso machines and grinders. The damage, worsened by snow melt, has not only affected machinery worth over $20,000 but also the woodwork of the café and the inventory, including coffee and tea, raising concerns about potential mold. This unfortunate event follows the denial of a permit for the business's planned roastery in Upper Macungie, which is a separate blow to owners Lauren and Juan Vargas. They had already invested in a roaster and signed a lease before the township rejected their application due to zoning issues. The couple is now considering opening the roastery in Allentown but has not yet confirmed a new location.
