Farmer Brothers, a renowned US tea and coffee supplier, has named John Moore as its new CEO after the resignation of Deverl Maserang. Moore, who served as the interim CEO since October and previously as head of coffee, brings over 30 years of experience in the coffee industry. He has been instrumental in green coffee procurement, R&D, roasting, manufacturing, and sustainability initiatives. His appointment comes during a transformative period for the company, as it aims to leverage its nationwide direct store delivery system to foster growth and respond to the changing consumer landscape. The leadership transition follows the departure of both Maserang and former CFO Scott Drake. Farmer Brothers is focusing on streamlining processes, enhancing service, and expanding product offerings to capitalize on the company's future potential. This strategic move arrives after the company reported a net loss in the opening quarter of fiscal 2024 and ahead of their second-quarter results announcement.
