Blueprint Coffee is poised to significantly boost its production capabilities with the inauguration of a new 11,000-square-foot roastery and forthcoming headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Previously operating out of a smaller space on Delmar Boulevard, the new facility, which formerly housed a Kroger grocery store, provides ample room for increased roasting and green coffee storage, as well as space for a new cafe, bakery, and offices. The move consolidates Blueprint's operations, eliminating the need for offsite storage and transport of green coffee, which was both time-consuming and physically demanding. The new roastery is equipped with a 1937 Gothot 23-kilogram roaster, capable of producing up to 2,000 pounds of roasted coffee per week, with room reserved for a second roaster to accommodate future growth. The expansion is driven by a surge in online sales, wholesale orders, and a substantial increase in cold brew demand, which has risen by 800% thanks to a partnership with local beverage distributor Craft Republic. Blueprint plans to further enhance the new facility with a training center and a quality-control lab, ensuring that they continue to support both their team and their loyal customers.
