Two Alabama coffee shops have made it onto the prestigious list of "The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops" for the second consecutive year. Domestique Coffee from Birmingham and Prevail Union, with locations in both Montgomery and Birmingham, have gained international recognition for their exceptional coffee offerings and unique atmospheres.
• Domestique Coffee ranked 43rd this year and has been operating since 2015. It is also available at Dawn Patrol in Homewood.
• Prevail Union, known for its craft coffee roasting, placed 66th after a previous high of 17th in 2025.
• The ranking is determined through public votes and a panel of coffee experts who assess various factors, including coffee quality and barista skills.
• Onyx Coffee LAB from Arkansas claimed the top position on the list this year.
