The popular drive-thru coffee chain, 7 Brew, is set to open a new location in Huntley, Illinois. Founded in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas, 7 Brew continues its expansion with this new addition, which follows its first Illinois store in Sterling. The Huntley Village Board initially reviewed the coffee shop proposal in November, raising concerns about the building's adherence to local guidelines, particularly regarding its metal siding and color scheme. These issues have since been addressed; the new design features Glen-Gery thin brick siding and a color scheme that matches a nearby Chipotle. The 750-square-foot coffee shop will include two drive-thru lanes capable of accommodating at least 22 cars, as well as a bike rack and pedestrian access. The Village Board has now approved a special use permit for the site, with generally positive feedback from board members, although some expressed concerns about the saturation of coffee shops in the area. The opening date for the new 7 Brew location has not been announced.
